Well, since ~NintendoGal55 has left us, it seems the group is left to me, ~Alicia-x-Itachi. I haven't really been much of a Naruto fan for years now, but I will do my duty and I am happy to run the group.

As your new founder, I'd like to help make the group a bit more active. We've been getting quite a few new members, but not that many submissions... so I'll detail a few ideas for things to make the group more active. I'm also considering accepting new contributors, if any of you out there are willing to help take a leadership role, run contests, or screen submissions.

As for stuff the group can do...

Of course we could host a contest, but I can't do that alone. There's no way we could throw together a Valentine themed contest this year in a timely way (there's only a week left to V-day at the time I write this blog), so if there's going to be a contest, I'll need suggestions for times, themes and prizes, as well as enough interest to be shown. Our last attempt at a contest failed due to lack of interest, so we need more contribution in order to have one.

A group RP chat is another idea. It could help the members better get to know each other's characters and pairings, and it could be fun. I'm not sure how many people will go for that, so it'll only be considered if enough people want it.

The idea I think would be the best to implement is something another CanonxOC group I contribute to used to do--a Pairing of the Month feature. How it would work: any member hoping to be featured would comment on a group blog and be listed, and the winner each month would be chosen by random draw. The winner would then have to pick a picture of their pairing and write a little description about them (how they met, how they fell in love or became friends, etc.).

Well, that's all I have for now. I'd appreciate your feedback, so I know which direction to take the group.
